We are dedicated to reuniting children in government custody safely with their families.
Every. Last. One.
We have a proven track record of supporting the reunification of children with their loved ones who have been torn apart by cruel and unjust immigration policies. Although the separation of migrant families was officially halted in June 2018, hundreds of families have been separated in the year since via loopholes in the court order, for example when it is an aunt, uncle, sibling or grandparent accompanying the child rather than a parent.
There are also a number of separations from 2017 onward only now being accounted for.
Help us expand our efforts to bring these children home. Every. Last. One.
Our Focus
We are dedicated to reuniting children with their families in cases where it is determined to be in the best interest of the child.
Although there have been hundreds of children separated from parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and grandparents since the advent of zero-tolerance, advocates argue that very few of these separations were for the legitimate safety of the child. In fact, we know these separations have caused trauma to children and families while costing the American taxpayer thousands per day.
Immigrant Families Together has been actively helping separated families since June 2018. We partner with legal, advocacy, service and religious organizations nationally working case-by-case with a network of volunteers and sanctuary groups to bring migrant families back together.
Our partner on this initiative, Miles4Migrants, will provide flight coordination and will cover the cost of airfare, using donated miles and points, to reunite children with their parents as quickly as possible.
We have helped children like 8-year-old Andy who was separated from his 21-year-old brother Junior for 183 days. Junior struggled for months trying to navigate the system that kept them apart. With our help, he was able to fly to the shelter with completed paperwork and walk out with his brother.
