We are dedicated to reuniting children in government custody safely with their families.
Every. Last. One.
We have a proven track record of supporting the reunification of children with their loved ones who have been torn apart by cruel and unjust immigration policies. Although the separation of migrant families was officially halted in June 2018, hundreds of families have been separated in the year since via loopholes in the court order, for example when it is an aunt, uncle, sibling or grandparent accompanying the child rather than a parent.
There are also a number of separations from 2017 onward only now being accounted for.
Help us expand our efforts to bring these children home. Every. Last. One.
We are dedicated to reuniting children with their families in cases where it is determined to be in the best interest of the child.
Although there have been hundreds of children separated from parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and grandparents since the advent of zero-tolerance, advocates argue that very few of these separations were for the legitimate safety of the child. In fact, we know these separations have caused trauma to children and families while costing the American taxpayer thousands per day.
Immigrant Families Together has been actively helping separated families since June 2018. We partner with legal, advocacy, service and religious organizations nationally working case-by-case with a network of volunteers and sanctuary groups to bring migrant families back together.
Our partner on this initiative, Miles4Migrants, will provide flight coordination and will cover the cost of airfare, using donated miles and points, to reunite children with their parents as quickly as possible.
We have helped children like 8-year-old Andy who was separated from his 21-year-old brother Junior for 183 days. Junior struggled for months trying to navigate the system that kept them apart. With our help, he was able to fly to the shelter with completed paperwork and walk out with his brother.

Immigrant Families Together is a network of Americans committed to rapid response unification of families separated by the 'zero tolerance' policy. We have mobilized to help parents currently detained through the following immediate actions:
Raising of bond funds through coordinated crowdfunding and individual giving in order to post bond for parents separated from their children at the US/Mexico Border.
Paying bonds and providing pro bono legal representation when possible to fulfill all legal responsibilities while awaiting trial so that they may be with their children.
Arranging safe transportation from state of detention to the city where children are currently in foster care.
When needed, finding longterm housing in the destination city while they await trial.
Connecting parents in cities with resources in order to sustain them during the process of being unified with their children.
Working with local organizations and local government agencies to expedite the process of achieving full custody of their children while they await trial.
Providing food, housing and medical assistance when needed to our families.
100% of the funds raised will cover the costs associated with reunifying these families. Immigrant Families Together works with attorneys, social workers as well as partner organizations and sanctuary groups who have been working to help immigrant families for decades. We enter these partnerships from a place of respect and humility.
The costs of reunification include bonds for parents and family members, legal costs, accommodation, travel, food, cell phones and supplies, medical costs and social work fees.
We are an entirely volunteer-run organization.
